The Age Run Melbourne

The team at Look@MyBaby are doing The Age Run Melbourne this year with the team from Miracle Babies. The run allows each person or team to nominate their chosen charity, ours will be Miracle Babies. Miracle Babies raise funds to provide equipment and much needed support in NICU and special care environments. Please take a look at some of the amazing work Miracle Babies do on their website. http://www.miraclebabies.org.au/

King Edward Memorial Hospital is the first NICU hospital in Australia to provide a Look@MyBaby viewing room on campus. The facilities and innovative service makes a huge difference to families that are not able to go in to see a baby in NICU itself, and has allowed parents to introduce siblings and their wider family to their new baby, when they otherwise would have had to wait until they were out of NICU. Miracle Babies provide a great deal of support for families at the hospital and helped make the viewing room possible.

Remote access over the Internet and priceless keepsake recordings are also available upon special request from the Look@MyBaby service at KEMH.

Leon Wilson's blog Daddy's Blog for Lucy shares his family's journey in the King Edward Memorial Hospital NICU. We love this picture of Oscar seeing his little sister, Lucy, in the Look@MyBaby viewing room.

This is what we are training for and running for. Look@MyBaby and Miracle Babies would like to be able to provide this service in Princess Margaret Hospital, as well as many other NICU hospitals around the country.

If you can donate, or would like to run or walk with us on the day, please go to Look@MyBaby's Fundraising Page.
We will be keeping you posted on our training and our fundraising.
