Sunday Morning at SJOG Geelong

Midwives Annie and Francine
It's been a couple of weeks since we went to St John of God for an inservice with all the midwives, so today I went down there to see how it's all going, meet some new families and share Look@MyBaby with them.

The Telstra 4G upgrade from our last visit is going well with friends and family being able to see the new baby faster and clearer than ever before.

It's surprising how quiet the maternity ward was on a Sunday. Maybe babies know not to arrive on a weekend. ;)

Midwives Annie, Pauline and Francine were great, advising me on which rooms to visit and I met some new Look@MyBaby families. Everyone I spoke to was thrilled to be able to use Look@MyBaby to share their newborn with family and friends, and for peace of mind when mum has gone home and the baby needs to stay in Special Care.
Charlie and her baby sister

I made a new friend in the Special Care Nursery, Charlie. She showed me the drawings she made for her new little sister, Mary, but Charlie calls her Daisy. Charlie told me about Daisy and she's excited to be a big sister. Her picture is in her little sister's cot and her drawings are all around it.

Thanks to all the midwives on at St John of God Helen, Annie, Pauline and Francine are just a few that made my visit so enjoyable and easy. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
