Welcome to our new blog.

For our first post, I thought I'd write about my first experience with Look@MyBaby, Virtual Baby Visit. Even though I'd heard about it and understood what it was, it was nothing compared to really seeing it in action.

One of the Look@MyBaby team had a baby and sent through the link by text and email. As I was really excited, I logged onto the computer to see the baby, but only found a cot note in the baby's bed which said, "Having cuddles, back soon." It seemed every time I logged on there were cute cot notes saying Hi to her older brother, or she was feeding etc. It became a game for Mr 6 to check and see what the note said.

When we finally saw the baby, it was amazing. Even though I knew it was a 'Live' feed, it still blew me away. Mr 6 was obsessed, he'd keep coming back to the computer, or would take my phone around with him. He showed anyone that he came into contact with. No matter who saw it, the reaction was always the same, everyone loved it.

Look@MyBaby users have told the team that their children have introduced their baby brother or sister to the classroom 'show and tell' via Look@MyBaby Virtual Baby Visit.

Everyone who has been fortunate enough to use the service at their hospital have been incredibly happy to share their new baby with family and friends in this unique way.

We look forward to hearing your Look@MyBaby stories and any other stories you'd like to share on our blog.

  1. Welcome to the land of blogging Look@MyBaby!

I think that your service is one of a kind and beneficial to parents and their friends and families. It not only enables people to "meet" the baby online in circumstances where they are unable to visit in person (interstate/overseas/sick), but it also enables sibling bonding and reduced anxiety for those who babies who are in SCN.

We wish you all the best.
